Medical Social Worker Counseling
Social Work Services involve one-on-one interaction between the MSA and the patient/family. In addition to addressing the psychosocial problems of the patient, the MSW provides assessments and interventions to include other community programs. Although the focus is on psychosocial issues, their interventions must contribute significantly to the patient’s medical conditions. Interventions provided by the Medical social worker include:
- Psychosocial assessments
- Financial-environmental assessment
- Counseling
- Short-term therapy
Nutritionist / Dietician Counseling
The Dietician/Nutritional Counselor assesses and evaluates the patient’s nutritional status and makes any recommendations for alterations in dietary regimens based on the prescribing practitioner’s prescribed diet.
